Welcome to Buywal, a trusted eCommerce marketplace connecting sellers with buyers worldwide. This Seller Policy outlines the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for all sellers on our platform. By selling on Buywal, you agree to comply with these policies to ensure a fair, safe, and positive experience for everyone.

1. Seller Eligibility

To sell on Buywal, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or a legally registered business entity.
• Provide accurate and verifiable information, including identity, contact details, and bank account for payments.
• Comply with all applicable local and international laws, including tax and trade regulations.
• Complete Buywal’s Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process, if required.

2. Product Guidelines

Sellers must ensure their products meet Buywal’s standards:

• Permitted Products: New or certified refurbished items in categories such as electronics, fashion, home goods, and more, as approved by Buywal.
• Prohibited Products:
  • Counterfeit, illegal, or stolen goods.
  • Hazardous materials (e.g., explosives, toxic substances).
  • Weapons, drugs, or alcohol.
  • Used personal items (e.g., cosmetics, undergarments).
  • Items violating intellectual property rights.
• All products must comply with local laws in the seller’s and buyer’s regions.
• Listings must include accurate descriptions, high-quality images (minimum 500x500 pixels), and clear pricing.

3. Fees and Payments

• Listing Fees: Free for up to 50 active listings per month. Additional listings incur a $0.10 fee per listing.
• Commission Fees: Buywal charges a 10% commission on each sale (excluding shipping costs).
• Payment Schedule: Sellers are paid bi-weekly via bank transfer or PayPal, after deducting applicable fees and refunds.
• Sellers are responsible for any taxes, including GST/VAT, as required by law.

4. Shipping and Fulfillment

• Sellers are responsible for shipping products within 2 business days of order confirmation.
• Use approved carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL, or local postal services) and provide tracking information.
• Ensure products are delivered within the estimated delivery time shown at checkout (typically 3-7 business days for domestic orders).
• Packaging must protect items from damage during transit.
• Buywal does not currently offer fulfillment services; sellers handle their own inventory and logistics.

5. Returns and Refunds

• Sellers must accept returns for defective, damaged, or incorrect items within 30 days of delivery.
• Buyers may request returns for “change of mind” within 14 days, subject to seller approval.
• Sellers cover return shipping costs for defective or incorrect items; buyers cover costs for change-of-mind returns.
• Refunds must be processed within 3 business days of receiving the returned item.
• All returns and refunds must comply with Buywal’s Refund Policy.

6. Seller Performance Standards

Sellers are expected to maintain high standards to ensure customer satisfaction:

• Order Defect Rate: Maintain less than 2% defective orders (cancellations, returns, or negative feedback).
• Response Time: Respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours.
• Customer Ratings: Maintain an average rating of 4.0 or higher (out of 5).
• Failure to meet these standards may result in warnings, listing restrictions, or account suspension.

7. Content and Listing Requirements

• Listings must be clear, accurate, and free of misleading information.
• Use high-quality images showing the actual product (no stock photos unless approved).
• Descriptions must include key details (e.g., size, color, material, condition).
• Avoid prohibited keywords (e.g., “free shipping” unless true, brand names without authorization).
• Do not duplicate listings or manipulate search results through keyword stuffing.

8. Prohibited Activities

Sellers must not:

• Engage in off-platform transactions to avoid Buywal fees.
• Manipulate pricing (e.g., price gouging or artificially low prices).
• Spam buyers with unsolicited messages or promotions.
• Violate intellectual property rights or sell counterfeit goods.
• Create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions or manipulate rankings.

9. Dispute Resolution

• Sellers must attempt to resolve disputes with buyers directly within 48 hours.
• If unresolved, buyers or sellers may escalate the issue to Buywal’s support team via support@buywal.com.
• Buywal’s decision on disputes is final and binding.
• Sellers must provide evidence (e.g., photos, tracking details) when requested.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

Buywal may suspend or terminate a seller’s account for:

• Repeated violations of this Seller Policy.
• Failure to meet performance standards.
• Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation.
• Non-payment of fees or failure to complete KYC verification.
• Legal violations or complaints from buyers.
  Sellers will be notified of suspension or termination via email and may appeal within 7 days by contacting support@buywal.com.

11. Compliance with Laws

Sellers are responsible for:

• Complying with all applicable laws, including consumer protection, tax, and trade regulations.
• Collecting and remitting taxes (e.g., GST/VAT) as required.
• Obtaining necessary licenses or permits for restricted products (e.g., electronics, health supplements).

12. Policy Updates

Buywal reserves the right to update this Seller Policy at any time. Sellers will be notified of significant changes via email or platform announcements. Continued use of Buywal constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
